Get into your private budget

Choose an enabled provider. If you do not have a budget yet, enter your available cash after signing in to create a private account with three calendar months of access and last Friday as its opening week. Coming soon means a provider is not configured. Enter your provider password only on that provider’s own sign-in page.

If approval is required, ask your administrator to check your invitation or identity link, then try again. Existing expired or inactive accounts go to the renewal page; ask an admin to renew them. Signing in again does not restart a trial. Each approved identity opens its linked budget. Signing in does not import bank transactions.

Your money, one week at a time

Bee Broke Budget plans the cash you have and the money you expect to receive and spend. An account row can be a paycheck, rent, groceries, or savings; it does not have to be a bank account. Nothing here moves money or automatically reads bank transactions.

Each column covers Saturday through Friday and is labeled with that Friday’s date. A projected amount is your estimate. An entered amount replaces the estimate for that account and week. It can be a better future estimate or an actual total; the app cannot tell which you meant.

Make Friday your check-in day

First set up income, bills, and spending budgets with their amounts and schedules. Each Friday, open the column ending that day. Check bank activity and receipts, then replace the projected amounts with what actually came in or went out that week. You can update during the week too. Include anything still expected before Friday ends.

If groceries were planned at $80 but you spent $67, enter 67 in that week’s grocery cell. Replace the total; do not add it to the original 80. Press Enter or Tab to save. Enter 0 if nothing happened. Clearing a cell restores its scheduled estimate, so blank does not mean zero.

Then look ahead. Spending $13 less leaves $13 more in that week’s calculation. Actual totals keep your plan realistic and help you spot expensive weeks early. If spending repeatedly exceeds a budget, adjust the future schedule instead of planning an amount you cannot stick to.

Why one week per column?

Weekly totals keep the plan small enough to maintain. You can see several paychecks and bill-heavy weeks together without listing every purchase. Monthly totals can hide a tight week before payday; daily columns can bury the bigger picture in detail.

This is a weekly cash plan, not a running bank balance. A Friday paycheck cannot cover a Tuesday bill unless you already have the money. Check actual due dates and your bank’s available balance before spending. A positive Friday total does not guarantee enough cash every day.

Balance forward and manual reconciliation

Balance forward is the money carried into the week before income and expenses. Balance forward + income − expenses = available for next week. Savings allocations reduce spending money because that money is being set aside.

Reconciliation means checking the plan against your real money. You can override Balance forward for the actual current week, the week before it, or the week after it. Enter the amount at the START of that week, before its income and expenses. Today’s bank balance may already include payments in that column; entering it without accounting for those would count them twice.

An override becomes the reconciled starting amount and carries into later calculations until another reconciliation. Clear it to restore the calculated amount. Bee Broke Budget does not check your bank for you. Historical weeks use frozen cash flows: changing an old displayed amount does not automatically rewrite today’s balance. Reconcile when the current plan needs bringing back in line.
